The outer circle is an enso (円相)—a hand-drawn circle from Zen tradition that represents wholeness, presence, and the beauty of imperfection. It is created in a single, unbroken brushstroke, reflecting a moment of pure awareness where the mind is free and the self is fully expressed. The open, imperfect form reminds us that life is not meant to be controlled or perfected, but experienced as it is.

Bear carries a deep, grounded strength that is quietly respected. The bear represents endurance, protection, and stability—a steady force rather than a forceful one. It is associated with the earth element, embodying a connection to the land, patience, and resilience through changing seasons.

The bear’s power is not aggressive; it is contained and self-assured. It moves slowly, deliberately, conserving energy and acting only when necessary. This reflects a wisdom of knowing when to rest and when to rise with strength. In some traditions, the bear is also seen as a protector, especially of home and family, symbolizing a nurturing yet formidable presence.

Spiritually, the bear can represent inner strength rooted in stillness—the ability to withdraw, restore, and return with clarity. It teaches balance between action and retreat, reminding us that true power does not come from constant movement, but from being deeply anchored within oneself.
