Here's what you can generally expect from a Reiki session: Pre-session Discussion: I will begin the session with a conversation to discuss any specific concerns, health issues, or intentions you have for the session. It helps me to understand your needs and tailor the session accordingly. Relaxing Environment: The Reiki session will be held in a quiet room. You will wear headphones playing meditative frequency music, and your eyes will be gently covered to enhance relaxation. Fully Clothed and Comfortable: You will be fully clothed for your Reiki session, lying down on a massage table. Hands-on Healing: I will use a series of hand positions, placing my hands lightly on or just above different areas of your body. The hands are usually held in each position for a few minutes, allowing the Reiki energy to flow. Energy Sensations: As I channel the energy, you may experience various sensations such as warmth, tingling, gentle pulsations, or a sense of relaxation. These sensations can vary from person to person. Deep Relaxation: The Reiki session aims to induce a state of deep relaxation and promote stress reduction. Many people find the experience calming, soothing, and rejuvenating. Emotional Release: Reiki can also facilitate the release of emotional blockages or stress. You may feel emotions coming to the surface during the session, which is a natural part of the healing process. Options with Your Healing Session: You have the option to enhance your session with sound therapy or red light therapy. Sound Therapy: Immerse yourself in the soothing vibrations of singing bowls, played for 15-20 minutes to promote deep relaxation. Red Light Therapy: Experience the benefits of red light therapy, known to support cellular regeneration, reduce inflammation, and enhance overall well-being. A red light panel will be placed above you, allowing you to absorb its healing effects throughout your session. Post-session Discussion: After the Reiki session, I might have insights or observations I had during the session to share with you, suggestions for self-care practices or guidance on how to integrate the healing energy into your daily life will be followed.
