All of these images are intentionally created by Cecilia as a way to honor creativity and the joy of making something from within. What began as a simple expression of play has grown into a meaningful practice—each piece carrying its own quiet message and intention.
Every design holds a deeper layer, serving as a gentle reminder to pause, reflect, and reconnect. Whether it speaks to peace, presence, or inner strength, each image is created to accompany you in daily life—like a small, visual anchor that brings you back to yourself.

The enso (円相) is more than a circle—it is a direct expression of presence, drawn in a single, unbroken brushstroke that reveals the state of the mind in that moment. Rooted in Zen, it represents wholeness, emptiness, and the acceptance of imperfection. Within this understanding, it naturally aligns with the Taoist principle of wu wei (無為)—effortless action. Just as the enso is created without hesitation or correction, wu wei is the art of moving without force, allowing life to unfold in its own rhythm. The brush does not try; it simply moves. In this way, the enso becomes a living expression of wu wei—where doing and being merge, and from that alignment, simplicity, clarity, and quiet power arise.

At the center is the Chinese character 靜, meaning tranquility or inner stillness. It speaks to a quiet mind, a grounded heart, and a state of calm that is not dependent on external conditions. Together, the enso and 靜 express a simple truth: when we allow things to be as they are, stillness naturally arises within.

At the center is the Chinese character 和, meaning peace, harmony, and balance. It speaks to a state where inner calm and outer relationships are in alignment—where there is no resistance, only gentle coexistence. Together, the enso and 和 express a deeper understanding: peace arises when we live in harmony with ourselves, others, and the natural flow of life.

At the center is the character 禪, meaning Zen—often understood as meditation, presence, and direct awareness. 禪 points to a state beyond thinking, where the mind becomes quiet and clarity arises naturally. It is not about adding or seeking, but about returning—coming back to what is already here. In this space, there is nothing to force and nothing to fix. Zen reflects a way of being that is simple, grounded, and deeply alive, where each moment is met as it is. It is an invitation to rest in stillness, to observe without attachment, and to experience life with openness, ease, and quiet understanding.

Tiger is one of the most powerful and respected animals in the Chinese zodiac. It embodies quiet power and focused presence, never seeking attention, yet carrying an undeniable strength rooted in confidence rather than force. There is a deep awareness in its gaze—a stillness that comes from knowing when to act and when to remain at rest. The tiger moves with intention, never rushed, never wasted. It represents courage without aggression, authority without dominance, and a grounded inner strength that arises from being fully aligned within oneself.

In Chinese culture, the wolf (狼) carries a more complex meaning—it is often seen as fierce, instinct-driven, and resilient, but also deeply connected to loyalty and pack intelligence. The wolf embodies sharp awareness and survival wisdom, moving through the world with sensitivity to its surroundings and an unspoken understanding of timing. It does not rely on force alone, but on intuition, cooperation, and adaptability. There is a quiet strength in the wolf—a balance between independence and belonging. It represents trust in one’s instincts, loyalty to one’s circle, and the ability to navigate both solitude and connection with clarity and purpose.

Bear carries a deep, grounded strength that is quietly respected. The bear represents endurance, protection, and stability—a steady force rather than a forceful one. It is associated with the earth element, embodying a connection to the land, patience, and resilience through changing seasons.
The bear’s power is not aggressive; it is contained and self-assured. It moves slowly, deliberately, conserving energy and acting only when necessary. This reflects a wisdom of knowing when to rest and when to rise with strength. In some traditions, the bear is also seen as a protector, especially of home and family, symbolizing a nurturing yet formidable presence.
Spiritually, the bear can represent inner strength rooted in stillness—the ability to withdraw, restore, and return with clarity. It teaches balance between action and retreat, reminding us that true power does not come from constant movement, but from being deeply anchored within oneself.

This image is inspired by a moment I experienced firsthand—standing just 30 feet away from a mother bear and her cub. I could hear her breath, steady and present, a quiet rhythm that filled the space between us. There was something undeniably majestic about her, yet what stayed with me most was not her power, but her patience. She sat calmly, fully grounded, watching as her baby took its time climbing down from the tree. There was no urgency, no fear—only trust and quiet love. In that stillness, I felt the depth of her presence: protective, patient, and deeply connected. It was a powerful reminder that true strength can be gentle, and that love often reveals itself in the calm, unwavering space we hold for one another.

This was created for my beloved Zenwood cabin. It reflects the deep tranquility I feel in this space—surrounded by mountains and embraced by an abundance of pine trees. There is a quiet stillness here, a sense of grounding and peace that gently invites you to slow down, breathe, and simply be.

This represents the beauty and spirit of Pine Mountain Club, CA—an abundance of pine trees set against majestic, powerful mountains. It reflects a land deeply influenced by the Chumash tribe, symbolized here by the sun. The presence of wildlife—bears and condors—adds to its wild, untouched essence, while the subtle hint of Stella Blue jade brings a sense of grounding and natural energy. Together, it captures the harmony of nature, culture, and quiet strength that defines this place.
