What is Reiki?
Reiki Healing is a meditative practice that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety, encourages positive mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Reiki Healing is a pleasant and powerful therapy that helps you connect to your inner source of vibrancy and life force, making it available to shift physical, emotional, and mental dysfunction to health and well-being.
Through channeling the universal healing energy, my goal is to help you to connect with your true self, to follow your spiritual path, to live your life with higher consciousness; and ultimately to achieve your full potential.
Reiki is not a religion or affiliated with any religion. Reiki is one of the energy healing techniques with its roots in the Japanese origin since the 1800s. Reiki helps the body and mind quickly return to their own natural state of balance so they can rest and heal.
I often compare the process of reiki to the process of downloading an updated software to your computer. Just like the new software can uninstall old applications and free up some space in the hard drive; reiki can remove toxic emotional energy blockages and make room for the new and positive energy in your body. The new "code" that you "download" into your energy field can have a long lasting effect with the combination of other personal improvement practices.

What Can You Expect in a Reiki Session?
The Reiki Practitioner places her hands over the receiver's body in a series of hand positions to channel the healing energy through her hands to the receiver. All the energy flows through the Reiki Practitioner is from the divine and is full of love and compassion. During the Reiki session, the more open you are, the more energy will flow through for what you need at the time of healing. You might experience the practitioner's "hot hands" or tingling sensation throughout your body, that's an indicator of energy flowing through. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.
What Do You Need to Prepare For Your Treatment ?
It is so important for you to be completely open during your healing session. Remember, the more open you are, the more healing energy can get through for what you need during your treatment. Put all your expectations and judgement aside and be completely open and present during the treatment. Your main responsibility is to have the willingness to help yourself to heal, you are bringing in as much needed healing energy as you are allowing yourself to receive. My responsibility as a healing space holder is simply to channel that energy and to facilitate the healing space for you. We are working together as a team and I will guide you through this process.
How Many Treatments Do You Need?
How many treatments you need will depend on what you are looking for. Some people simply want to experiment with Reiki for relaxation, energy "tune up", or get an energetic boost and they don’t have anything in particular they wish to work on. In such cases, every so often for a "wellness" session is fine. If you have a particular emotional or physical issue you want to work on, then good results will often be achieved with multiple healing sessions. The number of sessions will depend on the severity (or complexity) of the issue. After the first session, I will have a good sense on what you need to focus on to heal physically and or emotionally. We will review our session together at the end.
How Long Does It Take Reiki to Work?
Healing takes time. Some pain could be relieved immediately; however, actual healing takes about 2-6 weeks depending on the complexity of your condition.
